Who we are

the GEO folk Ltd ("we", "us") is an AI adoption, training and governance partner based in Scotland, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us through the contact details on our contact page.

What data we collect

When you use our contact form to arrange a chat, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, role, business or organisation name, email address, and any notes you add about where you are with AI and which platforms you use. We do not ask for any special category data.

When you browse the site, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our pages. This collects standard analytics data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is processed in a way that does not directly identify you.

How we use it

We use the details you submit to respond to your enquiry, arrange the chat, and prepare for that conversation. We use analytics data to improve the website and understand which content is useful. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to any marketing list without your consent.

Our lawful basis

Under UK GDPR, we rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries you send us and to run basic website analytics. Where required, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this site and our booking process: Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Google Analytics (website analytics), Calendly (scheduling your call), and Anthropic (the Claude model behind the AI Adoption Map interview). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not share your data with anyone else except where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, after which we delete or anonymise them. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and analytics
