the GEO folk

GEO for recruitment agencies.

Reach your next clients and candidates through AI search.

We get recruitment firms in front of the hiring managers and candidates already asking AI about their problems - and turn that into inbound meetings and hot leads for business development.

We're not just promising you AI visibility. We're showing you the ROI.

Your clients and candidates are already asking AI who to speak to.

People approach recruiters they have a relationship with, have been recommended to, or know for their brand. AI is now one of the ways that recommendation happens.

More and more, we are seeing firms organically get opportunities through AI platforms - without ever working on it. Three of five UK recruitment firms we met in one week had received client enquiries their clients put down to an AI recommendation. That proves your clients and candidates are using AI to find recruitment services. It is not a guarantee it will continue as the bar gets higher.

Those firms reported the enquiries they won. A recommendation that never became a call leaves nothing to report.

AI is also checking you out.

Before a hiring manager picks up the phone, they ask AI about your firm. You need to know what the AI platforms are saying about you when someone asks - it could be the difference between someone approaching you or not.

Being in the right place at the right time.

That is what gets you a shot at the opportunity: speaking to a hiring manager when someone has just resigned, or to a candidate when a salary increase has been rejected. Those moments are hiring triggers - and people now take them to AI first.

Most agencies stop at “you've been named”. That doesn't pay the bills.

Visibility is where we start, not what we sell.

  • AI visibility

Prompt testing across the AI platforms, and the traffic they send you.

  • Hot leads

The businesses engaging after an AI recommendation - and who the hiring manager is.

  • Placements

Leads to meetings, meetings to vacancies, vacancies to placements - and your average fee, so you see the return.

Months 1 to 3

We measure your AI visibility through prompt testing across the AI platforms, and the traffic they send you.

From there, the ROI layer

A client dashboard built around your business tracks how each of your content pillars is performing, using your own analytics (GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools) alongside our prompt testing.

Hot leads

We leverage custom technology to track when someone has been recommended your business on an AI platform, gone to your website and engaged with your pages. In the UK we send you the businesses we can identify, then add meat to the bones: what that company is hiring for and who the hiring manager is - a lead to act on. In the US we can send you the LinkedIn profile of the visitor. It relies on cookies being accepted, so we never capture 100%.

Your ratios

We get to understand how many leads you need to book a meeting, how many meetings convert to vacancies, how many vacancies convert to placements, and your average fee. That is how we show you your ROI.

We show you the floor. The return we report is the most we can prove - capped on purpose. The real figure sits above it.

Our method.

Hiring Trigger to Placement

The four elements

In the first 90 days we build your online presence for AI search around four elements. Working together, they are how AI platforms start to confidently recommend you.

  1. A clear service specialism - so AI knows exactly who you place, where.
  2. Informed human insight - your consultants' knowledge of what your clients are facing.
  3. Original data - something only you can publish.
  4. Corroboration - other credible sources saying the same about you.

We also look at what AI is saying about your firm, so that when someone asks about your business, they get answers that guide them to approach you.

Hiring triggers and commercial levers

We identify the hiring triggers in your market - things happening across your sector that lead to hiring - through research, and by speaking to your consultants about the challenges your clients are facing. We then agree three content pillars and build content that puts you in those conversations.

Two kinds of demand, not one

It's great to be recommended for “who is best to speak to about x roles in y place?”. Those prompts create high-intent meetings. But only targeting them caps what is possible.

By targeting AI recommendations alongside your reputation, mentions and citations - and feeding you data on the businesses showing interest - you aren't just capturing the people who know what they're looking for. You are capturing engagement around the problems they are facing, before it becomes a hiring requirement. That means high-intent meetings and warm leads.

Is this just SEO?

SEO is a layer of GEO, but a more basic one than a lot of SEO specialists may say. Ranking on Google is what allows an AI search engine to pick up your pages - but how high you rank doesn't decide how likely AI is to recommend you. Only 38% of pages cited in Google's AI Overviews were in the top 10 results for that search, down from 76%; 31% ranked outside the top 100.

We do the basic SEO for you. Where GEO is different: nobody has data on what your ideal clients are asking AI. You can't just do keyword research and know where to hit. What makes us different is our experience in the recruitment industry - identifying hiring triggers and capitalising on them.

The art is balancing what is technologically possible with what makes commercial sense. We talk a lot about sanity over vanity, and progression not perfection. Understanding the technology tells you where you can win; commercial acumen is what makes where we point fruitful.

Two hiring triggers we've built content around

A supply-chain breach

When a supply chain is breached, you often need to race to get the right person in to tighten the ship. The breach isn't a hiring event in itself - but it often leads to a hire. That's why we target it: for a specialist technology recruiter, we identified it as a hiring trigger, made it one of their three content pillars, and use it to collect hot leads for business development.

T+1 settlement

The UK moves to T+1 trade settlement on 11 October 2027, and this regulation is going to require firms to bring in specialist consultants. Rather than waiting for those leaders to contact a firm they already have a relationship with, we have been generating leads for consultants to reach out to with thought leadership.

Who it's for, and who it isn't

For recruitment firms who see the potential AI search brings, and want to move while the opportunity is there for the taking.

Not for firms unwilling to adapt, or without the appetite to grow in this direction. It isn't our job to convince you this technology is changing the game. We want to work with the firms that already see it and are ready to act.

The human part stays yours.

We get you the shot. What wins the client is them leaving with the feeling: “they are the people to hire this vacancy - they understand the brief, the market and can deliver what they've promised.”

How we price

We are focused on being a long-term partner that makes an impact on your bottom line, so we work on long-term consultancy agreements.

  1. Setup and build - the first 90 days. Driving AI visibility across high buying intent prompts and the challenges your ideal clients face that will later lead to hiring. Priced on the scale you want to go after - which AI platforms, which prompts and which commercial levers - and paid monthly over the first three months.
  2. Measure and optimise - monthly. We track everything, from AI visibility in prompt testing right through to placements. This gives us the data on what is working and where the demand in your market is, so we can hone in on what is delivering.
  3. Further builds - quoted as and when we see the value in them.

A total engagement is typically 12 months.

We give you transparent pricing at your GEO Opportunity Review - that is where we identify what the opportunity actually is and what you need to get there, because it isn't the same for every business.

Who we are

The GEO folk is a consultancy founded and led by Darren Boyle - over ten years in recruitment, latterly a Director at Robert Half.

We're not promising the world. We live by underpromise, overdeliver, and we'll be transparent with you about what is working, what isn't and what needs to be done.

Questions recruitment firms ask us

Can you guarantee AI will recommend us?

Nobody can honestly guarantee what an AI says. What we can guarantee is that we won't bullshit you. If you already have what you need to get quoted and it just needs reworking to be picked up by AI, we won't price you for a full setup and build.

How long before we see results?

It's realistic to expect dribs and drabs over the first six months. You can get enough to cover the first six months' investment, but six to twelve months is when you can start to expect results - enough time has passed to get traction with the AI search engines, and for meetings to have actually converted to vacancies. By month six we have data: we know what is working and we double down on it.

Isn't this just SEO?

SEO is a layer of GEO, but a more basic one. Ranking gets your pages picked up; it doesn't decide whether AI recommends you. We do the basic SEO for you - the difference is knowing which hiring triggers to target.

How do you measure ROI?

Prompt testing and AI traffic first. Then your ratios - leads to meetings, meetings to vacancies, vacancies to placements, and your average fee. We show you the floor: the most we can prove.

What do you need from us?

Time with your consultants. They know what your clients are facing - that's where the hiring triggers come from.

What does it cost?

A setup-and-build sprint paid monthly over three months, then a monthly retainer for measurement. Typically 12 months in total. You get a transparent price at your GEO Opportunity Review.

What if AI is saying the wrong thing about us?

That's one of the first things we check. When someone asks AI about your business, the answer should guide them to approach you.

Do you only work with recruitment firms?

Yes - recruitment firms and businesses servicing the recruitment market. Nobody else.
